Tomorrow’s Show

Some of the most pathetic displays of contrived outrage cropped up in the various mainstream media outlets this week as well as various sneer and smear podcasts.

This centered around the murder of Rob Reiner and his wife by their own drug-addicted son. The bloody scene at the house was discovered by their daughter Romy who lived across the street. She immediately knew it was the son, Rick, who did it. The gory details are not really the point, nor is the psychology behind the offense. By all accounts the kid was a manipulative spoiled brat who loved being high on drugs.

But this story itself, insofar as the media is concerned, had to tale a back seat to Trump’s reaction. As far as he was concerned it was good riddance. His remarks appeared on Truth Social and were backed up in a presser. He didn’t like Reiner and as far as Trump was concerned, from Trump’s perspective, he probably got what he deserved. While Trump never said it that bluntly, everyone knows that is what he was thinking.

So now everyone from Maria Shriver to half the Republicans and all the media with Jake Tapper leading the charge condemn Trump. Then they extrapolate the moment to say that Trump AND the Republicans are hypocrites for complaining about the celebration by Dems of Charlie Kirk’s death. What?

Those losers who celebrated and sang over Charlie Kirks death never knew or had any interaction with Kirk whatsoever. Trump was targeted and harangued by Rob Reiner relentlessly for years on end on a daily basis. Reiner’s vitriol to his 2 million Twitter followers was astonishing and continued unchecked until November of 2024 when Trump got elected again. Reiner then closed his Twitter account and also left Bluesky where he also began ranting a hateful narrative.

These were relentless. When he got on TV he would rail against Trump. It was non-stop vile hatred, slander, and libel. It began in 2015 and never stopped until last November, about nine years of personal attacks.

So Trump is supposed to exhibit grace? Wow, how does that work? After endless years of personal attacks and harassment Trump is supposed to have a sex change and reembody St. Maria Goretti – the Saint of forgiveness? I don’t think so.

If anyone is not showing grace, it’s the media who is using the moment to find a new way to blast Trump.
