Good trick. Tomorrow's Show The money sink in Ukraine is getting nastier as a big dam in Russian-held territory was breached by one side or another. This resulted in massive flooding. Nobody knows who did this and both sides are pointing the finger at the other side. It would not be a surprise if it was actually the USA or NATO who blew up the dam to make sure the war continues since they seem intent on using the war to clear up munitions inventory so the stockpiles can be replenished at taxpayer expense. The coverage of this catastrophe is sketchy but it does affect the cooling capacity of the nuclear power plants as well as the agricultural output of Ukraine. Apple Announcement Everyone seems reservedly gah-gah over the somewhat creepy new Apple Vision Pro VR headset, which is one of the most elaborate devices ever conceived. With an incredible array of sensors, cameras and high-end computing power as well as a world-class display people cannot quite figure out who it is designed for. It is going to sell for $3500 and you might argue that it probably cost $3500 to build. Who or what is it for? Today's tech pundits all assume that the developers will figure out what to do with it and eventually it will be cheap. Not one analyst has speculated that this is a device intended for use by the military and intelligence communities, because that's exactly what it is. And it will cost more than $3500 once it is “militarized” with a bigger battery and painted Army green. An excellent review of the device can be watched here. The Defense Department contractors can get to work now developing simulation and training software for the device. There had to be some "non-binary" or trans messaging with the Apple presentation showing this weird hair-do on this person. It may have been to emphasize the fact that no over the top of the head strap is used to keep the device from falling off your face. Also... The CATO Institute has discovered that the Gen Z crowd, who are notoriously poorly educated and susceptible to manipulation by Maoist propaganda think it's OK to have a government surveillance camera in the home itself! Not all of them but around 30-percent of them think it is OK. This number is up from the desires of previous generations, so it is trending higher. Read about it here.
