Tomorrow's Show This is the season for the raucous Christmas party of yore. Ever since the Covid world reset the fun has exited stage left. The funniest example is the Mayor of Boston and her segregated “people of color” Christmas party which is something of a scandal since this racist event was supposed to be a secret. Some assistant sent the invite out to some white folks by accident. A fuss was made, for good reason, but the event went on anyway. This “people of color” event has been taking place for years it seems. The irony, not lost on anyone, is that this Christmas party looks to be the dullest event in the history of Christmas parties. A Christmas party in the olden days usually involved rampant drunkenness, someone wearing a lampshade as a hat, more than one married woman throwing herself at a coworker, dudes grabbing ass, someone falling down and cussing a lot, everything short of an actual food fight. That's a Christmas party, not a rubber chicken sit down dinner. Times change. Blackstone Did What? One of the things a lot of companies with too much money often do is hire some out-of-work Hollywood types and attempt to make a short film to celebrate the company and have some good old fun with the company image. Someone at the company, who thinks they are hilarious, spearheads the whole thing. These short 5-10 minute films are always ill-conceived and delusional. Worse, they end up being an embarrassment for all concerned. So here's Blackstone with this years edition of corporate fun. Cringeworthy to the max. Click on image below to see the video.
