Tomorrow's Show Just as last Thursday’s show ended a slew of events began starting with the bombing of Iran. This took place exactly one day after the Trump “60 days to get a deal done with Iran” deadline. Only a few news outlets made this connection since the media was hoping to get some mileage out of the childish TACO (Trump always chickens out) meme that was going nowhere. We are now awaiting (if not goading) the Iranians to bomb one of our bases so we can give Israel a pile of our bunker buster bombs. That is coming for sure. Then, out-of-the-blue some major elected officials in Minnesota have been assassinated. Since they are Democrats it’s assumed this is some sort of partisan madman and Trump supporter. The guy had a kill list of those he wanted to shoot in his car along with several No Kings Day Flyers. In general, despite the rhetoric, these sorts of shootings are almost always based on some unresolved grievance with the political process. Revenge is usually the motive not party politics. And the shooter could as easily been a disturbed Democrat nutball since the primary victim had just sided with Republicans regarding freebies to illegal immigrants. See this clip linked here. And, of course, today will be the big military parade celebrating the 250th anniversary of the US Army. This is describe by all partisan Democrats as Trump’s Birthday party and a waste of money. To counter-program the parade, bored activists have created No Kings Day. You can be sure they will attempt to make this a yearly event as long as Republicans are in office. The No Kings Day also falls on the day the Hawaiians will be celebrating King Kamehameha (an actual king) with an annual and massive floral parade. I’d call this a scheduling conflict. |
