Nothing can be further from the truth when you hear the people at NBC blaming a specific generation of people for not watching the Olympics. The numbers show that TV watching is down but streaming via computer/internet is up by even more. The fact that the supposed advertisers for TV ended up getting freebies is a joke as well, since anyone in this business should know where the demographics are going to be. Should it be surprising to see that people are turning off their TV's because they are either too busy using their computer's where they are multi-tasking work, social activities AND watching the Olympics?
What fries my banana is how this sort of story reporting misses the objective here which is advertising-whether it is on TV or on a streaming channel, it is still there so don't be giving these false reports that the event was unsuccessful.
