This summer has been one of the slowest since the show began almost 10 years ago. The reasons for this are many including Trump fatigue and the national disaster called Harvey. And it is not as if the endless and destructive Middle East wars have not continued unabated. They keep generating profit for the likes of Lockheed and Boeing as well as the war-centric folks in Congress.

Ask yourself exactly what show delivers an entertaining 6 hours a week of news analysis that explains what it going on? No Agenda does it. There is nothing like No Agenda on TV, radio or in a podcast. That’s why you listen to it.

It is also explained that the only reason the show exists is because it takes no orders from big corporations or the government because it take no money from any entity but the “users” of the show – this means you the producer.
In most modern media the person who reads a magazine or watches a TV show is a specific targeted person and part of a group called a target audience. The sole purpose of creating a target audience in media is so that audience can be peddled to a group of specific advertisers who can sell something to that audience.

This means that for all practical purposes the audience is the product that is marketed to advertisers. Ideally this audience will be specific enough in its makeup that targeted advertisements can be employed. This makes the audience more valuable as a commodity.
Hence you see very specific audiences developed as products. The network nightly news is a perfect example of this. They have all developed an older audience to which the drug companies can sell drugs. Ideally they, the audience, are old and sickly.

Naïve critics complain that the TV network news is no good because only old people watch it. They go on to say it is dying because they cannot attract younger viewers. This is not true. These critics are know-nothings who should be ignored because they do not understand what is going on. Adding younger viewers to network news would cheapen the value of the audience to the real customers – the advertising drug companies.

The TV network news executives know exactly what they are doing. And, you should note, that it is in their best interest to keep you unhealthy at the behest of the drug-pedaling advertisers. Think about that for a minute.
No Agenda does not practice this and you’ll note that the audience for the show ranges from children to older retirees. The audience ranges from students to professors to policeman to the military to intelligence professionals. You are not the product. You are the customer and you should be a paying customer. Not part of a sickly “package” sold to a drug company to be soaked and gouged.

This model employed by No Agenda is not corrupted by a mercantile mechanism that does not serve you at all. But the show needs it customers to help the show by paying for the product in any way.
