Tomorrow's Show Oh golly, the anti-Democratic attempts to keep Trump off the ballot in Colorado and Maine (others forthcoming) is going to the Supreme Court to be tossed out. It's somehow fun to watch these attempts to not allow anyone to even vote for Trump by either keeping him off the ballot of locking him up as an insurrectionist. Why? Because Trump somehow means the end of Democracy as we know it. This illogic is best represented by PBS. It insists on using the creepy Jonathan Capehart in its discussion forum. On last Friday's episode Capehart literally said that Trump will end Democracy. He also sided with Colorado saying he should be taken off the ballot and the Supreme Court should agree. The insanity is astonishing. 3x3 Redux One of our producers who can best be described as an established network news executive writes in about the 3x3 segment. “I Love these segments and may have a bit of insight as to why they are so similar. The video is all coming from news agencies – probably AP or Reuters. And the agencies are probably buying it from the same stringer. The reporter (actually the producer as the reporter probably just reads the finished script) most likely is sitting in a bureau or even the NYC or London studio, watches the video, reads the news wire story and puts the two together. You always pick the best video, the best Nat sound (I think you are calling it pops) and the best sound bites. But they are all using the same source video and wire copy to write the stories. None of it is original reporting or news gathering. Original reporting is very rare in local and network news. It takes time, money and it is hard work. The reporters that seem to come up with scoops or original reporting are usually just the pawns of some government agency. It has become a very sloppy profession.” As you have all noticed.
