Tomorrow's Show There has to be some discussion of the destruction of the Pacific Palisades, a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles proper and served by the city for services such as fire and police. This neighborhood has an average income of over $350,000 per household and largely Democrat, probably 70-percent or higher. The typical home there sells for over $2 million. Fox has the best coverage of the fires there and in Altadena. All the fires, as of this writing, iare still zero percent contained .
FOX has outdone CNN with coverage of the event with very little in the way of typical FOX slant (thus far). There must a lot of tongue-biting at FOX as this event is filled with political opportunities regarding some of the SoCal Democrat policies put in place that have obviously exacerbated the destruction. This includes empty fire hydrants despite two years of massive rainfall and full reservoirs. A Mayor of Los Angeles who is in Ghana for no good reason and has failed to return. A woke LA Fire chief who emphasized DEI and pushed the climate change agenda. And on and on. Two years of heavy rainfall in California means a lot of underbrush susceptible to massive fires., This brush was not cleared. Probably half if not more of the valuable Pacific Palisades properties will be gone when this is over. Malibu and other areas are also ruined.Who knows how many tons of CO2 were emitted. This event should rival or surpass the mismanaged Maui event. Meanwhile Newsom appeared in the area early to smirk his way through a press conference where he praised the Feds for giving the state free money. |
