Google gets serious about toolbar scams with new ad policy, forcing AVG to retreat [feedly]

One of the biggest problems I have always had to deal with when clients install their own software is the resulting toolbars that end up also getting installed. This is one more reason why choosing 'custom/advanced' install is so important. Having the web content provider tool, the browser, in this case Chrome, deal with just how these software companies get their product installed is only going to help, unlike IE which over the years has welcomed them with open arms!
