Big Brother Canada-Update

I know I had mentioned near the beginning of this new season, that I would be updating with my comments on a regular basis and now that the game is well over half way through, I am finding it necessary to speak my mind.  I must say this new Triple threat was great and groundbreaking for all Big Brother series. Nice to see Canada leading the way with something new, however it still only left things as a double eviction with Kevin and Willow getting the boot.  Now, with Canada getting to vote on who gets to be on slop this week as those two will get a super power that they are not aware of right now is totally awesome. It is great to see BB Canada taking advantage of the social media and using it the right way, instead of a simple vote for who stays and who goes which is too easy to stack, this method allows the houseguests to freak out and feel as though their country hates them (for putting them on slop) only for them to learn later on that it was to help them out.

The house does get to these houseguests, that is for sure, with Sarah voting to eliminate her number one friend, Willow, figuring that she would have to stick with the rest of the house by voting to keep Pillar, only to learn after the fact that it was her vote that ultimately sent Willow out of the game.. what was she thinking?  She wasn't and you can chalk this up to over-thinking as well as believing it was more important to stick with the house.

All in all, I'm enjoying the new twists but can't say much for these houseguests.. definitely not as good as the first two seasons but then what did you expect when they set it up for an obvious young bunch of people that are all single and hoping for showmances.. sex sells and that is television unfortunately.. not that there is sex happening but the couple aspect is out of control this year making for a truly boring season. Thankfully with Canada having their fair share of making it exciting, the season is still, hands down, better than most seasons of BB USA.  The side show is also a great bonus and the fact that it is 1 hour long allows time for post HG interviews as well as past HG's from previous seasons to make celeb appearances which has been great.

With only a few weeks remaining, it is safe to say that Zach and Ashley are a lock for 1,2 if Pillar doesn't squeak by. Even though Ashley is saying Pillar is her number 1, my money is on Zach playing a more integral part and it should end up being more like it was for Season 1 finale. At this point, unless Canada and this upcoming twist can truly turn things around, I don't believe Sarah and/or Brittney have a chance.
