A Week With the iPad Mini

A good review and just one more opinion for you to weigh in on when in the end it is ultimately up to you to decide which way to go. Currently owning both the Nexus 7 (16gb WiFi) and 16gb IPad mini WiFi, I do love them both for different reasons. I will not return either but have decided that the trade in will be on the 3g model Nexus 7 when it comes out. The rumors are already out that the retina version will be released 2nd quarter of next year. So that is when you are truly going to want the IPad mini. And, since Apple appears to like to release new Ipads at the same price, this will make the new IPad mini price seem about the right price instead of overpriced.

The iPad is too expensive. The Kindle Fire HD and Nexus 7 are too cheap. That seems to be the logic behind the iPad mini, the filling of a crucial void in our tablet lives. But after spending a week with it, I'm pretty sure the mini is less Goldilocks than it is Rapunzel: beautiful, flawed, and ultimately not worth the trouble. More »
