    No Agenda is an important lifeline to reality. The producers and listeners who follow the various deconstructions done over the years develop a fantastic knack to do this for themselves and immediately see through the harmful propaganda. The first goal is to spot the initial attack of the coordinated news event. Once spotted you can quickly see it is a campaign. Then the hard part comes. Who is behind it and why?
    A recent coordinated attack on the processed meat and "red" meat industry is a case in point. Why attack hot dogs during the American World Series baseball playoffs? For anyone who wonders about the validity of the latest claims please go read the Zoë Harcombe website here
    There was an almost identical coordinated attack in 2010. This will be discussed ontomorrow's show.
    YUM! Let's eat this instead. (Tastes like poop).

      No Agenda-The Saturday Memo

      Sack of 8's


      Producers,
      On last Thursday’s show one of our producers contributed $88.88 to celebrate our 8th anniversary mentioning that the show had historically done a sack of this and a sack of that like last year’s sack of 7’s. or $77.77. He asked, so what happened to a sack of 8’s?
      Of course I forgot all about this and our anniversary is Monday. I screwed up, but there is still a day left. So here is the special lucky sack of 8’s donation created today. Click here to celebrate eight.
      You should note the special meaning of 8 to most of the Asian cultures. This is the luckiest number there is and license plates in Hong Kong go for over $2 million a year for the plain number 8. The record for the plate was set in 2007 when someone paid over $5 million US dollars for the plate.

      All variants on 8 are valuable in Asian markets as 8 is considered the luckiest number, period.

      So this will be the lucky donation of the year.
      Tomorrow's show has a lot of deconstructed news and, of course, the boring Hillary hearings will get mentioned. It looked to be a dud with a lot of interesting questions left on the table while dimwits asked her if Ambassador Stevens had her home address. Why? To send gifts?

      And what needs discussing is this crazy Hurricane Patricia. Within a mere 48 hours it goes from a tropical storm to a Cat 1 hurricane to a Cat 5 hurricane to the worst hurricane EVER with 200 mph winds then quickly back to a tropical storm then a tropical depression. Really? In this short of a time period? Do you find this a little odd?
      Only No Agenda discusses these sorts of peculiar stories in a way that helps you understand what is going on.

          Native Advertising is Everywhere!

          The corrupt corporate media will destroy No Agenda

           

          Dear Producer,

          If you are not contributing to the No Agenda Show on a regular basis, ask yourself why. It’s important to realize that the reason the show exists is because it can deliver news and analysis without corporate slant.           You should be shocked by the recent public discussions concerning native advertising. This is nothing more than a form of corrupt advertising that poses as legitimate editorial product but is actually an advertisement bought and paid for by an advertiser. It takes the form of an article that goes on and on singing the praises of a product or company.

          The latest operations that specialize in this form of advertisement are Buzzfeed and Vice. Because they are doing so well, CNN has decided to create a studio to develop native ads. Outlined here by the Native Advertising Institute  it’s a platform/studio called Courageous. Fast Company has another article on how the company formed a specific fully funded LLC called GBS or Great Big Story to produce bogus videos for advertisers so CNN can compete with Vice.
          Part of the campaign to be used by CNN for its native advertising business. The name of the operation avoids any CNN references and with the rocket ship is supposed to appeal to millennials. This group of young adults loves Vice Magazine and are seen as the biggest suckers for native ads. They are responsible for the trend along with the corrupted media.
          Only your No Agenda Show has been suspicious of Vice since its morphing into a producer of questionable documentaries. These CNN initiatives just make things worse as CNN has decided to do the same thing.

          As this is the easiest way to make money in corporate media and this is where everything is headed. EVERYTHING. If it was possible, all news reports would be advertising.

            As you all know, the nearby mudflats have become an important part of the show as an ongoing check of the rising sea level that does not seem to be rising. I have promised to show you pics of this, so here are a few showing this mudflat/coastline along the I-580/California 12 – roadways that are only a few feet above sea level.
            Here are the main mudflats used to determine the threat of the rising sea-level. This is the southernmost part of the mudflats shown on the map above. The freeway is elevated here but goes down to sea level just ahead.
            A close-up of the above mudflats. Abundant bird life can be observed.
            Further north (the uppermost arrow) the mudflats continue. More mudflat are up at the top on the otherside of the small peninsula.
