Tomorrow's Show A few new developments will be discussed tomorrow. This includes the battle between the White House and Harvard which is suing the government over what it sees as free speech issues. The White House has threatened to take away the tax exempt status of the operation because it fails to comply with various rules. Exactly why these private institutions are getting government money in the first place is questionable. And why are they tax-free is another issue. While churches are exempt from taxes, why are these colleges? They are clearly profit-making operations. This whole brouhaha with Harvard may be nothing more than a ploy to irritate the public and make everyone aware that they are getting free taxpayer money they obviously do not need. Harvard’s push back might be a trap. All the colleges and universities may suffer because Harvard got played. Real ID, Real Bad The concept of Real ID came about from 9/11 because the hijackers were supposedly using a fake ID. Yes, if Real ID was in place these jamokes would never have gotten on a plane. Really? Bullcrap. Privacy advocates think the Real ID systems is just a better way of tracking and surveillance. Some will argue that it will be handy for voter ID. How does that improve things when major states such as California never use voter ID? In fact Real ID is a farce and an inconvenience. This Wednesday is the day where you will need it at the airport. Expect nothing but news story after news story on Wednesday with reporters at the airport and people complaining.
