ESPN, their commentary over Texas A & M and Rice-Pathetic!

I am truly blown away by the absolute brutal commentary of the ESPN crew at today's Texas A & M/Rice football game.  To start with, Johnny Manziel didn't start the first half yet the entire game ESPN continued to talk about what is to come. Not only that but they have a special half time show all about Manziel. Then when Johnny goes off and gets a penalty towards the end of the game and gets removed from the game my his coach, this ends up being the big news at the end of the game show on ESPN as well.  Here's a rookie that wins the most prestigious award there is in College Football, returning for his 2nd year with the media never letting up the constant smothering of this guy even when he isn't playing. I might add that A & M was already leading the game BEFORE Manziel started the 3rd quarter and in order to win the game you need a TEAM so lets remember that.  So when Johnny gets the penalty and the coach makes him sit out the rest of the game and then ESPN spends the first part of the end of the game show discussing it.. all I can say is "come on man!"

Yes, Johnny needs to use his head and think about the repercussions for the rest of the team and that will come in time, but it certainly doesn't help when he is the one and ONLY thing the ESPN crew decide to talk about and show (at the end of every play they were taking a shot of Johnny on the sidelines during the first half) nothing but Johnny Manziel.  It is truly too bad this Sports Network production has to be so one-sided and has lost all focus of what their job is.. to provide a un-biassed production of the football game.
