No Agenda Producers Update

Dear Producers and Supporters,
RE: The ongoing newsletter delivery crises.

It is crucial that you and everyone else on the mailing list  actually have the newsletter show up in the your inbox.

If you do not want the newsletter you can easily cancel it. If you do not want to open the newsletter you can discard it yourself. But this decision should be yours, not Google deciding for you. That is what is happening.

One of our producers says he has never been able to get the newsletter AT ALL from Microsoft’s outlook.com. Since I do not test this particular service (I will now) I cannot confirm difficulties there. But none of it surprises me.

One reader suggests doing a bulk search in the promotions tab for the newsletter then sliding them all into the INBOX at once and that is supposed to trigger Google to change its filing habits. Maybe. Maybe not.

Above all, if your email system has a white-listing feature, make sure you white list thedvorak.org domain. In the meantime I cannot even tell how many people are reading this note. We figure these services are losing half of our MailChimp output. It’s like the local mailman from hell who just throws the mail away instead of delivering it.

I’m of the personal belief that we will suffer low donations for the next few months and Google, Yahoo and Microsoft will tweak their systems and things will get better.

Of course, they will really do better if these same companies decide to go into the mailing business themselves, right? This low-level form of corruption works that way. “Yewz guyz needs to take out some insurance, yeah? Uderwise some bad tings might happen.”

One of these days someone is going to work out a racketeering case against some of these folks.

In the meantime, please help us with a random contribution by clicking here. Or you can get on our $66.66 6th Anniversary bandwagon by clicking here.
Whatever you do, help us with this email dilemma in any way you can.

Thanks,
Your co-host,

John C.Dvorak
