I completely agree, reinventing the internet in some way is getting to be pretty necessary. Unfortunately however, once advertising gets a hold of the 'new internet' it will only have the same outcome. With so many tech stories to read on a daily basis, even the various blogging sites are littered with pop up/under ads, mouse over and instant on video ads, not to mention the facebook and other links that must load before the article becomes completely readable. I have personally made it a decision to close any website tab I visit to watch a video story where I am forced to sit through an advertisement first. TV Network sites like ABC, CBS, BBC are famous for this. When in the end, the story is less than the advertisement it makes it pretty pointless not to mention wasted valuable time. And lets face it, who's time isn't valuable?
