This is NOT news.. the 'drone' did NOT block anything and if you bother to read the story, the pilot of the unit stopped flying the moment he was told to by authorities. 

It is for this type of new reporting that gives these quadcopters a bad name and I'm sick of it!

    Apparently these tracks are not used much

    More information is coming out about the airline crash which, because of the circumstances and whereabouts of the crash site, has become a nightmare. This should continue for weeks. The US State Department is trying to get the world to blame Russia in ways that allows for universal sanctions against Gazprom, with little luck. Nothing is working.
     

    Meanwhile, the odd battle between the Israelis and the Gaza/Hamas martyrs is portrayed in the most simple of black and white narratives. Listeners want an explanation more reasonable than what is coming from the mainstream media. No Agenda is working on it. You will be the first to know, as always. You can be sure it is not the simplistic nonsense coming from TV.
     

    Yeah, this looks safe

    Chrome browser has been DRAINING PC batteries for YEARS

    Just another negative ad campaign, I am sure, by Microsoft, to promote IE browser. The hilarious thing about this is the simple fact that Chrome is so much faster. So if it were to be using more battery life, per search you would find you can search and get results about 3 to 5 times faster than if you were to use IE therefore you get more productivity by using Chrome. If you are running on battery power then so-be-it, you will run out of power at some point regardless of what you are doing on your computer but from a productivity point of view, if you strictly limited your work to Browser use than you are going to get 5 times more work done in the life of your battery using Chrome!

    Microsoft layoffs: 18K jobs to be cut

    In my opinion the writing was on the wall when Windows 8 first came out and was so unsuccessful. Or at least a lot less than the advertising hype that was given to the product.   This is a serious problem and why big businesses should be regulated more than they currently are. With this many job cuts which is half the size of many small towns in America, it would pretty devastating.

    The news for the week is already out-of-control with nonsense stories dominating the media including the fishy customer-service phone call starring Ryan Block and an unknown customer service rep from Comcast. Also Charlie Sheen is back in the news with some dubious YouTube video? Agh.

    Meanwhile, the back-and-forth shelling continues between Gaza and Israel -- all apparently designed to make one country look particularly bad at the expense of too many dead civilians.


    I poke your eyes!!

    One story that should make you pause is this headline: Time Warner Shares Surge after Rebuffing Murdoch Bid. This is disconcerting because the $80 billion deal should be disallowed as anti-competitive. But that doesn’t even enter the conversation as it appears that the entire cable business is headed to one large monopoly over the next few years.

    And that weird customer service conversation being highlighted by the network news will go like this:

    Customer: I want to quit my account with Comcast.
    Comcast: Can’t do it. By law you have to keep the account.

    Done! Much shorter and snappier.

    Pilots flying with cameras in cockpit

    I really do not see what the dilemma is all about. The cockpit of any commercial airline is nothing more than a place of work for the employee. Any other business has the right to have security cameras in the office therefore why should the cockpit be any different.  Unfortunately this is just one more example of "if you have nothing to hide then what is the problem" mentality gone awry, in my honest opinion.
