No Agenda-The Saturday Memo

Dear Producer,
We continue this month with a subscription drive. If you have not taken out any sort of sustaining donation, please do so. You can pick from the following list of the most popular or you can go to the support page here for other ideas.
The favorite is the lucky $33.33 a month. Click here for that.
It has superseded the once popular $11.11 month. More lucky numbers click here.
For 2017 we have the $20.17 subscription. Click here.
Most recently the show offered the $4 a week or 75-cents an hour subscription which has become very popular. Click here for that.
There is also the $50 a month Knighthood layaway for 20 months. Click here for that.
And since today is a little thin insofar as PayPal numbers are concerned. Please step up and add a random one-time donation of any amount. It will help a lot. Use this do-it yourself open donation which is always welcome.
Tomorrow’s show will highlight some of the most ludicrous, if not comic news you’ve yet seen, most of it prompted by the Washington Post, a paper that is relentless in attacking Trump. Now you have what I call “the burning of the hats” meme.
This harkens back to the bra burning of the 1960’s when women protested their status in society. Draft card burning was a parallel phenomenon. So now we have people burning their Make America Great Again hats to protest various Trump political compromises.

The Washington Post is playing it as if there were millions of people in the streetmaking huge bonfires of red baseball caps, burning them to ashes. The WAPO is nuts.
Then there is the Facebook “scandal.” Apparently, Facebook, so hard up for advertising, took Rubles to run those horrible anti-Clinton ads. RUBLES! OMG. This particular sideshow about the Facebook ads is probably the dumbest thing ever. We’ve discussed it on the show already, but I guess it will continue as a dumb topic for a while. The total ad-buy was alleged to be $100,000, which is nothing and because of ad targeting would have zero effect on anyone.

In fact, if the Facebook targeting mechanism works at all, only ads “you want to see” would have been served to people who want to see them. That’s the idea. Thus a Hillary supporter would see no anti-Hillary ad. Or am I missing something?
These crazy ads, allegedly run on Facebook, are very difficult to find with a normal Google image search unless you add "secure borders" in the search request.
This new pattern of news coverage means that No Agenda will be more important to you than ever before. You support this show for a good reason. It is a lifeline to sanity. There is nothing else like it. Nothing. Sure, you can find an occasional deconstruction or sometimes an amazing take down of one or two major stories once in a while. But No Agenda delivers deconstruction after deconstruction show after show after show.

It can be done only because of your support. That’s the trick. Please continue with an open contribution of any amount by clicking here.
