LinkedIn is “breaking into” user emails, spamming contacts – lawsuit

I have always personally questioned the legitimacy of Linkedin when it first hit the market and I signed up, I noticed how it wanted access to my contacts and that raised a flag. Of course most social networks want this now, including facebook, but you can simply skip it, however Linkedin required an email address. Typically people end up using their email password as the password to access the site when this is prompted during the sign up process so be aware, if you fall in to this category you should be changing your account password for ALL of your social networking sites, making it something other than your email account password.
